Kea Westbrook a native of San Antonio, is a worshipper, preacher, and teacher after the heart of God. She was called and licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2000 and 2001 respectively. Her life’s mission is to live authentically and “war a good warfare,” according to 1 Timothy 1:18. Rev. Kea adds to the body of Christ many gifts and talents: educated, equipped, and endowed with God’s grace.

Educated - at the one and only historically Black and Catholic University in the United States, Rev. Kea earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Xavier University in Louisiana in 1993 and a Master of Divinity from Southern Methodist University - Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, Texas in 2013.

Equipped to bring both worlds together as an entrepreneur, Rev. Kea is the founder of Like Leaven, a work created to help believers stir up their gifts for the advancement of God’s kingdom. Upon completing her assignment as Director of Changing the Narrative for Behind Every Door Ministries where she created and provided oversight to Roots to Routes, a youth development program, Rev Kea moved in faith to work in ministry full time as the director of Like Leaven.

Endowed to reach her God-given potential, She served as a ministerial intern under the leadership of Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III and was ordained by him in 2020.  She now joyfully serves as the Youth and Collegiate Pastor of Friendship-West. Her daily practice is to “love and lift.”
