About Us

The CHOSEN Generation Youth Ministry serves the students (6th thru 12th grades and Collegiate) and families of the "Game-Changing Christian Movement" known as Friendship West Baptist Church by connecting young people to Jesus Christ; equipping them to fight for justice; and empowering them to create the beloved community. Our ministry's mission is the same as mission of our church: “Creatively making disciples, while on the cutting edge of making a spiritual and social difference.” (Matthew 28:16-20; Luke 4:18-19).

We do our work by equipping members to grow in spiritual maturity, helping them to fully understand and utilize their spiritual gifts, bringing them to the strength, comfort and direction of a vital faith, leading them in reaching out to the community and world with the good news of Jesus Christ, and enlisting them in active service guided by the Holy Spirit.

There are several fellowship, service, and ministry opportunities available to our CHOSEN Generation Youth including:

Ashanti Community is dedicated to developing young ladies, ages 8 -18, into the strong women God has called them to be. These young ladies are assigned mentors for guidance.
