We are the Decision Counselors Ministry. We enhance relationships with JESUS CHRIST through Prayer and Assurance or Reassurance. How do we accomplish that?We share scripture from GOD's Holy Word the Bible. The primary Bible verses that are in our weaponry...mainly consist of John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, John 5:24, and Romans 10:13. In addition, we give support with personal matters through Prayer and/or referral counseling.
What's our mission? To be forever submitted to GOD, His Word, and His Leadership. To demonstrate Spiritual Maturity, Personal Concern, Love, Fellowship and Stewardship. To give Spiritual direction to new converts or members regarding their relationship with CHRIST. Our Vision leads us to know and promote the Biblical principles and requirements for Salvation and to willingly provide that knowledge to all people who respond to the invitation to CHRIST. We are dedicated to encouraging people through Prayer and continuing our personal growth in JESUS CHRIST. With that being said, love helps us fulfill our purpose to win souls by offering those people responding to the invitation an opportunity to trust in JESUS CHRIST as their Lord and Savior, assure Salvation, or assist in Rededication through Scripture while offering encouragement through Prayer. Ultimately we need you to manifest Philippians 2 (NLT) 10 that at the name of JESUS every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue declare that JESUS CHRIST is Lord, to the glory of GOD the Father.
Road to Becoming a FWBC Decision Counselor (D.C.): 1. After future Decision Counselor advises current Decision Counselor and Ministry Leader of desire to join Ministry, the future Decision Counselor is to receive a Tract and Bookmark, along with the purpose of Ministry to familiarize them self with material. In addition, current Ministry Leader or Designee verifies completion of New Members class. 2. Future Decision Counselor is to sit-in/observe with current Decision Counselors during a Counseling session of a Counselee until the next Master Plan of Evangelism Course Starts. [Howard Thurman Bible Institute (H.T.B.I.) class named Master Plan of Evangelism (M.P.E.). (H.T.B.I. sessions are generally once per quarter) (Individual tutoring sessions are available upon request.)] 3. After successfully completing the Master Plan of Evangelism Course, the Future Decision Counselor is to sit-in with current Decision Counselors for six Counseling sessions [Generally on Sundays after 8 am and/or 11 am services] [During Coronavirus/COVID-19, Decision Counseling has shifted to Counseling on Zoom Mondays at 7:30pm or Thursdays at 6:45pm] Counseling sessions prior to completing Master Plan of Evangelism are acceptable. 4. After sitting-in with current Decision Counselors for six Counseling sessions (Rotating current Decision Counselor that Future Decision Counselor sits with), the future Decision Counselor is to practice and advise Decision Counselor Leadership they are ready to take their Mock Counseling Session. [The future Decision Counselor only requests the Mock Counseling Session when they feel comfortable.] 5. After successfully completing the Mock Counseling Session, the New Decision Counselor is a full Counselor. We take an individual and group photo of the participants including current Ministry leader and Pastor of Discipleship. In addition, current Ministry Leader or Designee orders FWBC D.C. Ministry Name Badge.
