The Be Made Whole Counseling Ministry is committed to providing a safe setting in which persons can address trauma and seek social, emotional and Christ centered healing with a context of care and concern of the Beloved Community.
The goal of the Be Made Whole Ministry is to produce an alternative to traditional mental health care in order to help individuals and families address and resolve issues that impact the quality of their lives. This will be achieved through counseling, spiritual support, education and resource referrals.
The Be Made Whole Ministry will be a safe place where trauma can be understood and its impact on emotions and relationships can be addressed.
Trauma appears to be apart of our DNA. The historic trauma of having to overcome the horrific Middle Passage, which ended in chattel slavery, death and economic system built on the backs of ancestors was only the beginning.
From the trauma of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and addiction to the overlooked trauma of discrimination on the job and substandard education, the useful question is not what is wrong with you, but what is wrong with what happened to you. What happened?
Confidentiality is held to the highest regard in this ministry. Maintaining trust between the counselor and the client is a vital part to an individuals healing.
