Q: Do you have to be a member to have your wedding at Friendship-West?
A:
No. Both members and non-members may schedule weddings at Friendship-West Baptist Church. If you are a member, please make the Event Coordinator aware of your membership status. The bride, groom, and/or parents of the bride or groom may book the facilities for a wedding.

Q: How far in advance can you book a wedding at Friendship-West?

A: We will accept reservations for the facilities up to twelve months in advance for members and up to nine months in advance for non-members due to the vast number of events we host at Friendship-West.

Q: How do you schedule a wedding at Friendship-West?

A: Complete the rental proposal form/application. After your wedding date has been confirmed, you will then have an appointment with the Event Coordinator to discuss policies and procedures and the down payment required to secure the date.To schedule a wedding you will need to contact the Event Coordinator, Cornell Towns at ctowns@friendshipwest.org.

Q: Can you have a minister who is not on the Friendship-West staff perform a ceremony?
A: Our Friendship-West ministers perform wonderful wedding ceremonies. However, we do permit ministers who are not on our staff to officiate wedding ceremonies.

Q: Does Friendship-West have facilities for wedding receptions?
A: There are several areas in the church where you can have a wedding reception. However, not all areas are available for each wedding time that is offered. Please ask the Event Coordinator (ctowns@friendshipwest.org) which rooms will best fit your needs and accommodate the number of expected wedding guests.

Q: What days and times are available for Weddings?
A: Weddings are not scheduled on Sundays, during church-wide events, or on holiday weekends. We are flexible with the start time of your wedding. You can start as early as 11:00 a.m. and as late as 7:00 p.m.. The wedding rehearsals usually occur the day before your wedding. Please discuss your request with the Event Coordinator if you would like to have your wedding in an area other than the sanctuary.

Q: How much does it cost to have a wedding at Friendship-West? What is included in the fees?
A: There are several locations where weddings can take place at Friendship-West Baptist Church. Each location offers a unique atmosphere. We offer various wedding packages. You can contact our Event Coordinator Cornell Towns at ctowns@friendshipwest.org to discuss the details of your wedding.

Q: Can you have a reception at Friendship-West following your wedding ceremony?
A: Yes. There are several areas that are wonderful for wedding receptions. There is an additional fee required when having a reception at the church. We offer great wedding packages that include your wedding ceremony.

Q: Is there a course offered for marriage preparation?

A: Yes. All couples who would like for a Friendship-West minister to officiate their wedding must enroll in our Preparing for Marriage Course. You can enroll by contacting Tiffany Wilhite at twilhite@friendshipwest.org or 972.228.7257.

Q: Does Friendship-West allow brides to utilize the sanctuary or other surrounding areas of the church for bridal portrait sittings?
A:
Yes, you can. However, due to the many activities scheduled at Friendship-West Baptist Church each day, you will be required to set up an appointment time for a bridal portrait sitting. Contact our Event Coordinator Cornell Towns at ctowns@friendshipwest.org.
