The Village Co-op Movement is an effort to embrace and support small to medium farmers who have historically been discriminated against, grow fresh fruit and vegetables, create an opportunity for community residents to support and engage in cooperative economics, work closely with Land Grant Universities for agricultural academic research, and actively create a sustainable community. The Village Co-op will offer space for residents to gather and connect through the community garden, greenhouse and Farmers Market. The youth and children will have a place for recreation. The exchange of good will stimulate the local economy. The latest techniques will be utilized to promote environmental justice and maintain a safe food supply.
